Band Programs
Concert Band
Concert Band is made up of high school students that are taking band as a class elective. Beyond school credit, students will compete against other schools throughout the year.
Students will also be able to audition for all-state and all-region bands.
Iron Horse Marching Band
The Philip Simmons Marching Band is an after-school activity open to students from 7th-12th grade. Middle school students must attend a PSHS feeding school to be eligible.
The Iron Horse Marching Band performs at all PSHS home football games throughout the fall season as well as the annual game at Bishop England. They also compete in several marching band competitions. All competitions are in the fall, and practices will end after the last competition.
Practice is at the High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm-6 pm. On game nights, the band reports to the band room at 4:00 pm, and dinner is served - courtesy of the Boosters!
